Installer
From Gambit wiki
standard name of executable that doesn't clash with ghostscript
I'd really like the default name not to clash with ghostscript.

DESTDIR and Runtime Files
The problem I've had trying to install on Slackware[1] is that the system file locations are set when gsc-comp is compiled. Obviously gsc-comp needs the files in the installation directory, but after that the Gambit-C system should be able to find them where I've put them in my installation. I keep a source tree in /usr/local/src for my updates, but it would be better to have a fully running system that doesn't require it. When I've made packages in the past, I delete that source tree and then I can't load "~~/syntax-case" and other files.Trashbird1240 15:37, 27 June 2008 (EDT)
